Why WISE matters

Many migrant women face barriers to financial independence, including limited access to financial education, language difficulties, unfamiliarity with banking and credit systems, and low confidence in using digital financial services. WISE responds to these challenges through accessible, practical, and culturally inclusive learning opportunities that support long-term economic stability and empowerment.

What WISE does

A European project for financial inclusion

WISE brings together partners from Sweden, Austria, Poland, Czechia, Romania, Germany, and Slovakia to create a structured approach to financial intelligence in adult education. The project combines digital learning, certification, educator training, and open resources to help learners make informed financial decisions and build greater resilience in everyday life.

Who WISE is for

Migrant women

WISE supports women who may face financial exclusion due to migration, low income, limited formal education, language barriers, or unfamiliarity with financial systems. The project helps them develop practical skills in budgeting, savings, responsible credit use, digital banking, consumer rights, and entrepreneurship.

Adult educators and trainers

WISE supports educators with structured methods, innovative teaching tools, and competence-based guidance so they can deliver high-quality financial literacy education in inclusive adult learning settings.

Adult learners seeking financial stability

Beyond migrant women, the project also reaches low-skilled workers, single parents, and other economically vulnerable adults who want to improve their financial decision-making and long-term security.

What the project will deliver

WISE Competence Framework

A structured framework defining the key financial literacy competences needed by learners and educators.

WISE Certification Framework

A competence-based certification system aligned with EU Micro-credentials and Europass, supporting recognition of financial literacy skills.

WISE Learning Hub

An interactive, game-based online learning environment offering self-paced financial intelligence education.

Educators’ Training Compass

A structured curriculum and methodology guide to help educators deliver effective financial intelligence education.

Training and network of certified educators

WISE will train educators across Europe and build a network that can continue using and multiplying the project’s results after the end of the funding period.

Expected impact

WISE aims to support more than 500 learners and over 50 educators, helping strengthen financial literacy, employability, entrepreneurship, and long-term economic resilience. The project also seeks to make financial intelligence a more permanent part of adult education provision across Europe.
