Behind every European project stands a partnership that brings together different experiences, perspectives and areas of expertise. Within WISE4WOMEN – Financial Intelligence of Immigrant Women for Independent Stability and Empowerment, this collaboration brings together organisations from across Europe with a common goal: supporting migrant women through financial education, empowerment and accessible learning opportunities.

The first organisation featured in the partner series is Halmstad University from Sweden, the coordinator of the WISE project.

WISE is an Erasmus+ Adult Education initiative running between 2025 and 2028, focused on strengthening the financial literacy and independence of migrant women. As project coordinator, Halmstad University plays an important role in guiding the partnership, supporting the implementation process and helping ensure that the project’s objectives are translated into meaningful and practical results.

Halmstad University brings strong academic and research expertise to the consortium, together with extensive experience in collaboration with society and external stakeholders. This connection between research and real-life needs is particularly valuable for WISE, where educational approaches must be both evidence-based and accessible to the women and professionals who will use them.

Through its coordinating role, the university contributes to creating a strong link between research, innovation and practical education. Its expertise supports the development of tools and methods that can respond to the realities faced by migrant women and contribute to greater financial confidence, independence and social inclusion.

The role of Halmstad University reflects one of the key strengths of WISE: bringing together complementary expertise and transforming it into practical solutions for adult education and migrant empowerment.

The project’s partner introduction series will continue to highlight the expertise each organisation brings to the shared work.
